services for consumers, clients, or visitors are affected by the
American Disabilities Act (ADA), regardless of size. These include:
1. Inns, hotels, or similar places of lodging
2. Restaurants, bars, or other establishments serving
foods or drinks
3. Motion picture houses, theaters, concert halls,
stadiums, or other places of exhibition or entertainment
4. Auditoriums, convention centers, or lecture halls
5. Bakeries, grocery stores, clothing stores, hardware
stores, shopping centers, or other similar retail sale establishments
6. Laundromats, dry cleaners, banks, barber shops,
beauty shops, travel services, shoe repair services, funeral parlors,
gas stations, accountant or attorney offices, pharmacies, insurance
offices, professional offices of health care providers, hospitals, or
other similar service establishments
7. Terminals used for public transportation
8. Museums, libraries, galleries, or other similar
places of public display
9. Parks or zoos
10. Nurseries, schools of all types
11. Day care centers, senior citizen centers, homeless
shelters, food banks, adoption programs, or other similar social
service centers
12. Gymnasiums, health spas, bowling alleys, golf
courses, or other similar places of exercise or recreation
13. Theme parks, sports facilities and stadiums,
fraternal lodges and organizations, convention centers, recreational
